Rathbones Adds Two Investment Directors To London HQ

Rathbone Brothers, the UK wealth management and investment firm, has added two new investment directors to its headquarters in London.

Peter Anwyl-Harris joins from Newton Investment Management, where he managed portfolios for private clients, trusts and charities. He has also worked for LGT Asset Management and Montagu Investment Management during his 30 years in the trade.

James Brennan, who joins the firm’s charity team, arrives from Baring Asset Management, where he spent four years developing the group’s charity business. Before that, he worked for Collins Stewart, CCLA Investment Management and Coutts, managing charity and private client portfolios.

In other developments, Peter Lucas was named investment director at Rathbones’ Jersey division yesterday.

The firm earlier this year said its total funds under management rose by 2.6 per cent to £16.04 billion (about $26.3 billion) at the end of the first quarter of 2011, from £15.6 billion at the end of last year.
